Quick and Easy Guide to Cleaning Your Carport or Patio Cover

Noticed that your carport or patio cover is looking less than sparkling clean? Have some guests coming round that you want to impress? Don’t stress! Cleaning your carport or patio cover is something you can have finished in under twenty minutes, just in time for the barbecue to start!

Using a bucket of warm, soapy water, clean away any visible dust, dirt, or debris from the surface of your structure. Use a microfiber cloth or soft sponge; you don’t want to scratch or mark the finish. Once you’ve wiped away marks and dirt, grab the hose or a fresh bucket of clean water and rinse the soapy residue off of the patio cover. To avoid leaving water marks on the finish, we’d recommend using a dry cloth to wipe away excess moisture and give your structure one last buff. And just like that, you’ve got a spotless structure and enough time to relax before the guests arrive.

Hot Tips: Try to use water that’s below 60°C to avoid stripping the finish and ensure it looks as good as the day you installed it.

If there’s grease, wet paint, or other chemicals on the frame of your patio cover or carport, you can use a soft cloth dipped in VM & P Naphtha, kerosene, or alcohol to clean these off.
