Generally all products at Living Culture have at least a 12 month warranty. You can check the warranty information of each item in the product description. Contact us within the warranty period if you encounter any problems associated with the product.

Living Culture will replace your product if it is found to be “dead on arrival” (DOA) at our cost.

If you change your mind after the payment is confirmed, we will issue a store credit (lessany shipping and handling fees) and the item can be returned to us at your cost. Items must be returned in "as new" condition with all packaging and accessories (including manuals).

If your item is faulty, please contact us within the warrant period and we will assess your claim on a case-by-case basis and offer a replacement, full refund or store credit.

While some may appreciate the natural aging process, it’s always good to know how to keep your teak furniture as clean as new. We’ve put together a guide that outlines the essential steps for caring for and maintaining your teak furniture, ensuring it lasts for years to come.

Routine Cleaning 

To keep your teak furniture looking its best, regular cleaning is recommended:

• Start by using a soft-bristle brush or cloth to remove loose dirt and debris.

• Prepare a mild cleaning solution using warm water and gentle soap.

• Scrub the surface with the solution, following the wood grain to avoid scratches.

• For liquid spills, blot the area with a clean, dry cloth—avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain.

• Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.

• Allow the furniture to air dry completely before use.

Preventing & Removing Mould & Mildew 

Teak naturally resists mould and mildew, but prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to buildup.

• Mix a solution of one part white vinegar and three parts water.

• Apply with a soft brush, scrubbing gently to lift mould and mildew.

• Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry.

Maintaining the Natural Colour 

If you prefer to maintain teak’s original golden tone rather than allowing it to weather to silver-grey:

• Apply a teak sealer, which helps protect against UV exposure and moisture.

• Ensure the furniture is completely clean and dry before application.

• Use a soft cloth or brush to apply the sealer evenly, following manufacturer instructions.

• Reapply as needed, typically every 6-12 months, depending on exposure.

Seasonal Storage & Protection 

Teak is built to withstand the elements, but extra care can extend its lifespan.

• During wet or cold seasons, consider using furniture covers to minimize exposure to excess moisture.

• If storing indoors, ensure the space is well-ventilated to prevent condensation buildup.

• Avoid plastic coverings, as they can trap moisture and promote mould growth.
