Regularly Inspect Your Carport

1. Regularly inspect your carport by walking around it and checking for any rust or wear. Addressing these issues early can help prevent long-term damage.

2. Clear away any removable dirt or debris that has accumulated on your carport. Bird droppings, twigs, and leaves can build up over time so it’s important to remove these regularly.

3. Trim back any sort of greenery that grows on or near your carport to prevent overgrowth weighing it down or hiding any structural damage..

Regularly Clean Your Carport

1. Using a hose or bucket, rinse your carport to remove any loose dirt on the surface of the structure.

2. Check the gutters and the roof, and remove any dirt that has built up, before rinsing with clean water.

3. Fill a bucket with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Try not to use harsh chemicals when cleaning your carport as this can strip away any paint or special coating.

4. Use a soft-bristled brush or sponge dipped in the soapy water to gently clean away dirt or grime that has built up on the structure. 

5. Cleanse away the soap using clean water.

6. Using a microfibre cloth or towel, dry the structure of your carport. This prevents water spots and streaks being left behind.
