The bright netting is easy for animals and handlers to see, making it ideal for temporary grazing areas, strip grazing and rotational paddocks for sheep. Use it with a suitable electric fence energiser, such as a solar-powered unit, to set up secure enclosures almost anywhere on your property.
Training animals to respect the fence
Before relying on an electric fence, it’s best to shock-train your livestock. Untrained animals, especially larger ones such as cattle or horses, may rush the fence and damage the netting or break posts.Start with a smaller training area using strong posts and a secure electric fence. This lets animals safely experience the shock, develop herd memory and learn to respect the fence line. Always follow local regulations and the energiser manufacturer’s safety instructions.

No. The netting, 14 integrated double-spike fibreglass posts, pre-fitted connection clips and repair kit are included.
An electric fence energiser, earth stake, fence tester and connection lead are not included. To electrify the netting, connect it to a suitable pulsed electric fence energiser and earthing system, following the energiser manufacturer’s instructions.
The 14 fibreglass posts are included with each 50 m roll. They are integrated into the netting and fitted with double ground spikes for improved stability.
They are not 14 additional loose posts supplied separately in the carton.
Choose the height according to the type, size and temperament of your livestock, as well as how you plan to use the enclosure:
For untrained or high-pressure livestock, use the netting within a secure permanent perimeter.
Yes. Animals should be introduced to electric fencing in a smaller training area supported by a secure physical boundary.
Make sure the fence is correctly energised before introducing livestock and supervise them until they learn to avoid the netting. Untrained or frightened animals may push through the fence and damage the netting or posts.
For sheep, maintaining good fence voltage and earthing is especially important because thick wool can reduce the effect of contact through the fleece.
No. The lowest black row on the 90 cm netting and the lowest two black rows on the 126 cm netting are non-conductive. This helps reduce power loss caused by contact with the ground and low vegetation.
The upper coloured rows contain conductive metal strands and must be connected to a suitable electric fence energiser for electrified use.
Yes. Stainless-steel connection clips are pre-fitted at both ends, allowing multiple rolls to be joined together for a larger enclosure.
Make sure your energiser is suitable for the total connected length and expected vegetation load. After installation, use a fence tester to check the voltage at the point furthest from the energiser.
The netting can be installed without an energiser as a visible temporary barrier, but it should not be relied upon for secure livestock containment.
Without an electric pulse, animals may lean against, push through or damage the netting. For effective containment, use it with a suitable electric fence energiser.
Yes. Grass, weeds and branches touching the conductive rows can draw power from the fence and reduce voltage.
Mow or trim the fence line before installation and regularly remove vegetation touching the live rows, especially during periods of rapid growth.
Yes. The flexible netting and double-spike posts can follow gently uneven or rolling ground.
For the best result, keep the bottom of the netting close to the ground, fully insert both spikes and maintain even tension. Corners, sharp changes of direction, deep dips, very soft ground or very hard ground may require additional support.
No. Livestock netting has wider approximately 15 cm vertical spacing designed for larger animals. Chickens, ducks and other small poultry may pass through or become caught in the wider mesh.
For poultry, choose poultry-specific electric netting with closer lower mesh spacing.
